Why do performers need PAT Testing?
Performers have a legal duty to ensure that any electrical equipment used, is safe for uses in public areas.
As a performer it is important to ensure your electrical equipment is tested and inspection at least every 12 months. This can vary depending on usage of the electrical equipment. For example instruments used daily should be tested more frequently than any items that are used maybe twice a year.
It is also good practice to give appliances a visual check a few days before it will be used so that any damage or problems can be identified and fixed in time.
To avoid not being able to perform it is advisable to ensure equipment is PAT Tested regularly. Ensuring the public are safe from electrical harm is critical. However, that doesn't mean you need to spend a fortune every year getting it done.
How long does PAT Testing take?
Our engineers have a lot of experience testing; DJ equipment, mixing tables, speakers and accessories. Performers normally have between 10-15 items, which can be tested in about a hour. For this amount of items we offer two services; our call out service and a drop in service.
Our drop in service is a fast and efficient service, and ensures you are compliant the same day as the testing is carried out. Our team understand the difficulties associated with schedules, so we work around your schedule. We are able to offer you the drop in service from 8:30am to 4:30pm; Monday to Friday.

Our experience

What to expect
Our team offer a hassle-free PAT Testing service from start to finish. Call or email one of friendly staff for a instant quote. Once you are happy with the quote we will arrange a time and date to fit around you.
On the day of testing, our engineers be in place to ensure you are certified that day. Our engineers can normally PAT Test between 15-20 items in approx. 30 minutes. Each item will be fully tested and identified with a test sticker, identifying if the item has failed or passed.
On completion you will be emailed a certificate and a detailed report of each item. The certificate acts as proof that the person responsible has taken steps necessary to ensure safety. The detailed report will highlight the pass or fails of each item.
